"Mule" is Orville Peck's fourth studio album and his most personal and ambitious release to date. The album follows up on the EP "Appaloosa" from 2025 and chronologically tells the story of the year that turned his life upside down. Through the songs, Peck depicts the path from the collapse of addiction, through the difficult struggle for sobriety, to the slow and often uncertain process of rebuilding his life.

With great honesty, humor, and compassion, "Mule" explores themes such as love, loss, and identity. Musically, the album moves effortlessly between classic country, bluegrass, and grand Americana, highlighting Orville Peck's unique ability to tell powerful, personal stories through his songs.
