In 1966, one day after Summer Solstice, a six year old girl in a small town in the Midwest notices a mysterious and peculiar elderly man while grocery shopping with her mother, older brother and little sister. The elderly man eventually finds his way to the young girl's home, requesting the services of her father. As her father and the elderly gentleman work together on the project at hand, the young girl discovers that not only is the elderly man warm and kind, she realizes his true identity.
