Àillidh was sexually abused as a teenager. More than twenty years later, after decades of PTSD and several unsuccessful therapies that never addressed the root, she is given an inner picture of a sanctuary at a worship service. Corresponding to her escape world during the time of abuse, this place becomes the scene of amazing encounters between her younger self and God. Over the period of about a month, she and Jesus revisit her traumatic past, neutralizing flashbacks, restoring a sense of safety, removing the most pertinacious long-term effects of sexual abuse such as a survivor's feelings of guilt and shame.
