Remy Velasquez shrugs. He just wanted to have a few days off, maybe a few months, relaxing in this favorite watering hole, the Shoulder Bar, in Ft. Lauderdale. After all, Remy took early retirement in paradise to get away from...well, everything. Turns out Remy can't say no. He's pretty good, very good, too good for his own good, at finding missing people, mostly runaways. And people know it. Remy finds the missing son, but not before he discovers a drug dealer with a meat cleaver stuck in his chest. Did the son do it? Or is the murderer a runaway Remy once found, come back to Ft. Lauderdale? And what's going on at the mysterious mansion out in the swamplands? Along the way Remy helps the Scarlet Avenger get back some money from on0line scammers up in Daytona Beach, but Remy doesn't get to drive a car in the sand.
