Lost? Get Remy. Need a runaway found? Get Remy. Need a murder solved? Get Remy. A client is murdered. Remy Velasquez must head out to Key West, Florida to find her killer as well as her runaway daughter before she too is murdered or perhaps worse sold into white slavery. Remy retired early to Florida, where the only uniform is a Hawaiian shirt, khaki shorts, and sockless shoes. Remy would rather be sharing whipped cream with a lovely lady, but people find the ex-police detective anyway, usually to look for a runaway teenager. Turns out Remy is an expert at finding them., Aiding him in his investigations are his neighborhood bartender, Filipe Anseld; his landlady, 77 year old Mary Jesus Alejandro; June Carter Cash, a fourteen year old runaway; a county sheriff Madge (Don't get any ideas, mister!) Lucky; and a mysterious woman known as the Scarlet Avenger.
