**Update since publishing: When I wrote and published this book, our youngest was still in high school. I'm pleased to report that he was finally, after much uncertainty and several cancellations due to the pandemic, able to take the ACT. He earned a high score and also earned the highest academic scholarship to the same state university his sisters attended/attend. He is now in his second semester there. Eldest daughter graduated from college with a 4.0 and is employed in her chosen field. Middle daughter earned a coveted spot in the nursing program and is a junior.**

You've decided to homeschool, or you're just dipping a toe into the subject and aren't yet certain if the homeschooling lifestyle is right for you. Your curiosity has been piqued by a pesky pandemic, or you've always wondered what it would be like to mold young minds and fill them with all sorts of knowledge. I'll share wisdom gained from over 17 years as a homeschooling parent and toss in some suggestions on making curriculum choices. I'll share our struggles and our triumphs. I'll explain how, with an end goal firmly set, we conquered high school, the ACT, and college admissions (with two teens, so far, earning full academic scholarships). So, join me, as I keep it honest and give you a glimpse into the homeschooling life-a life of both good days and bad, laughing kids and arguing kids, uncompleted science experiments and useless imaginary numbers, and exhausted, exhilarated parents.
