During an escape by bus, he gets the prostitute Agnes pregnant, but does not realize that she should have been the woman in his life. She gives birth to his daughter Wanda, and is later beaten to death by a customer. Lef suddenly finds himself at the opposite end of the food chain - when subjected to a hijacking which brings him to Africa. Diplomacy is not an option when he sets out to solve the situation. During a mission for Mossad in France and Andorra, Lef encounters a Nazi war criminal who is otherwise untouchable. An elaborate suicide could be the right answer. After almost being killed by a child soldier in Africa, Lef returns to the United States to care for his daughter. He moves Wanda to a Catholic orphanage and reluctantly gets some kind of an anchor in the Mother Superior.
