This hospital-based research work was carried out to find undetected cases of hypertension in young adult Nigerians, attending a missionary hospital in Nigeria for the first time. The participants included young adult Nigerians aged between 18 and 44 years. Pregnant females and known hypertensive patients were excluded from the study. The hospital prevalence of hypertension, the associated significant risk factors and the presence of complications of hypertension were determined in the study.
