This story looks at one such relationship based on the real life of a woman who lived in the shadows with an abusive man for more than 50 years. Why did she do it? Only she knows but she gives us clues. Ann White lives most of her life in fear of a man who sings in the choir every Sunday and appears to all who know him to be as Godly as any man could be. When she finally escapes from him, she finds herself in more danger than ever. The man she loved in her youth returns to her side and forces the situation to a crisis.
