Jolene is eccentric, to put it nicely, but aren't we all? She sits in the old rocking chair on her front porch every morning precisely between 5:00 am and 7:00 am--always, rain or shine. Why? No one knows. As she slowly slides further from reality, her ritual becomes more important to her. She escapes by living "somewhere else." Inside each of us is a "safe place," where we can live in a world as we wish it to be. It is a matter of survival. When a half-sister she never knew she had shows up driving a 1957 Cadillac with tall tail fins, the mystery begins to unravel. Can her sister bring her back to the present? Maybe so. Only one red geranium remains to link her to the past.
