When a group of ex-students turns to crime to clear their debts, they relocate from Britain to San Francisco when forced to go on the run. The gang of two women and four men are looking for one final job worth enough to leave the underworld and go straight. However, while California is a land of opportunity, when the chance arises, it's anything but easy. Not only are the Mafia involved, but also the Triads, with a multi-million dollar ransom hanging in the balance. Only one gang can emerge with the cash, assuming police don't get to them first. Escaping with the ransom looks almost impossible, in fact, the former students will need a minor miracle just to stay alive.
