An erratic 'love' relationship between a 'high-class', expatriate, US Lady and a supposed 'native' of the Country in which the 'Lady' has chosen to live during her 'vacation' periods. There are many 'unexpected' and 'surprising' events the 'lovers' have to deal with as their relationship develops: social prejudices concerning 'unequally yoked' partnerships; their own prejudices; meeting a Queen and her Consort; meeting a President and his Wife; and encountering a couple of New Orleans' ghosts. Travel the 'Social Whirl' with Susannah and Jerome if you want to dip into a 'Mystery Bag' full of 'Fantastic Disclosures' - none of which will be revealed in this preamble. On the advice of his 8 year old grand-daughter, the evidence of the book's cover and his own 'gut' feeling, the author has subscribed to the philosophical equation that in some circumstances: one illustration (picture) = one thousand words of explanation.
