For over two thousand years the Brotherhood of the Divine has protected a secret epistle written by John of Patmos. An epistle containing a revelation so shocking that God demanded it not be written down in the Book of Revelation (Revelation 10). Thousands have died as Satan has scoured the Earth over the centuries gathering clues of its existence, hoping to discover the secret it holds and use it to ascend to power, and now, he thinks he is very close in succeeding in his quest.

Kevin Bridges, the miracle investigator for the Vatican, has been very busy the past few months. Three miracle workers have suddenly become front page news thanks to Astan Ilves, the Lorenzo Medici of the modern era. Lucy Ilves, a brilliant research doctor and Astan's daughter, is one of these miracle workers, and Kevin has found himself interested in more than just the miracles Lucy has performed. Mika'il, a former Palestinian terrorist, has also begun to work miracles, and may provide the first real chance for a truly lasting peace in the Middle East. Gabe, the third miracle worker, is a teacher from California who cannot understand why he has been chosen by God to perform these miracles. As signs of the Tribulations begin to appear, Satan and Kevin both race to unravel the mystery of the secret revelation of Apostle John as they battle for the souls of the miracle workers.
