"Creatures' Comfort" is the third volume in the "Creatures" series of books. It is a prequel to "Creatures of Habit" and follows Grapevine's journey to fulfill Skully's final request: To be cremated and have his ashes tossed into the Grand Canal in Venice, where he and Grapevine visited often and spent many happy days. However, it couldn't be just anywhere. Skully requested it be tossed under the Realto Bridge, from the café that he and Grapevine (Max) visited every morning they spent in Venice. While transporting the ashes to Venice, he copes with the ten hour train ride by remembering his past and on the return trip, how he came to meet Skully. This is a tender story about a straight man and a gay man and how they managed to remain best of friends for over 50 years.
