The small village of Pleasant Hills is the home of a deadly secret, a long forgotten legend that spans across time. From the first settlers to present day, an evil has been hiding among them. Two local reporters from the nearby city stumble upon this legend while writing a book, deciding that the local legend is worth digging deep enough to uncover the truth. They find that some legends are real, some secrets should remain hidden. Eric and Todd now find themselves on the run, trying to elude the diabolical forces they stirred after digging too deep to find what really happened over two centuries ago, to find out why the buried dead among them cannot rest, and why they are trapped in their own purgatory somewhere between heaven and hell. It's a fight for their lives when they become the target of the unnatural forces they unleashed.
