Basha and his adoptive brother Oaka have set out on a journey to retrieve Tau's Cup, a legendary relic. But unbeknownst to them, fate might have something different in store, for Basha might be the tiger of light destined to defeat the evil Doomba, if he can survive. Sir Nickleby and Nisa try to protect him, but things fall apart, and soon Basha and Oaka must depend on themselves. They're joined by Fato, a talking falcon who might be hiding a secret, and a warrior named Monika, who's faced trouble in her past. They're pursued by monsters, Servants of Doomba, but they also must beware of Followers of Doomba, humans who have pledged themselves to him.
