A prequel to the Legends of Arria series, this is what happened to Kala, Basha's birth mother, before he was born. Kala's father Lord Kotak and a servant named Cannon heard a disturbing prophecy from an oracle before she was born. When the oracle's predictions started coming true, Kotak and Cannon feared what the future might hold. Kala grew up not knowing why she and her siblings, Niobe and Peri, were practically trapped at her family's manor, cut off from the rest of the world. They begged their father to take them to King Sonnagh's coronation, where Kala learned the horrible truth about her family and friends. For Kotak, Cannon, and others were part of an evil cabal, the Followers of Doomba, that sought to take control of the kingdom. Kala had to decide if she'd stand up to them, for her life and that of her siblings might be in jeopardy.
