China, India, ASEAN and the Gulf region are four of the foremost European Union trade partners. It goes without saying that these countries and regions incontrovertibly represent four completely different views of Asia as regards not only politics and economics, but also history, culture and civilization. The reason for choosing these case studies is the author's will to scrupulously underline that despite the several economic and sociopolitical differences that incontestably exist between them, the Union eventually manages to maintain satisfactory and highly beneficial trade relations with all of them without a single exception. The European Union's dominant objective with regard to its trade policies is for the latter to be beneficial for all sides. And it worth mentioning that the profits of an efficacious international trade policy indubitably provide all trade partners with the coveted opportunity not only to tackle burning issues such as unemployment and climate change, but also to methodically promote education, security, research, development and social stability.
