Amy's second school trip is to Nottingham. Ever since she could read she has been enchanted by tales of the outlaw Robin Hood and his merry men, so naturally she is eager to see Nottingham Castle and visit places where he has been. Amy doesn't really know that Robin is just a legend and the castle no longer stands, but once there, she learns what historians don't know about the outlaw and his lady friend, Maid Marion. She learns that he is indeed a real character from history, when she meets the boy who one day will become the legend. Soon she finds herself in the midst of a new adventure and meets up with her old friends and enemies from previous exploits.
