Orphan Valley covers the adventures of Tig and his fellow orphans from the Frisco Orphanage who were packed up and delivered to a massive space transport ship. There they were placed in suspended animation chambers for a ten year voyage to a newly opened planet. Their delivery to the new planet's surface was tampered with and the orphans found they were fending for themselves. M80 a MULE (Mechanical Utility Labor Engine) assisted the youngsters in setting up a camp once they were on the drop site. Exploring the other drop sites of the transport ship Tig encountered a local species the Molecat that was telepathic and made a fast relationship through meeting mutual needs. Tig offered assistance to the other relocated Earth communities established by the space ship drops in scattered locations. Based on his abilities and his relationship with the Molecats Tig went on to become the Continental Marshall. His exploits involved confronting the worst of the humans forcibly transported and a variety of local species thought to be extinct that were over looked in the survey of the planet.
