The Mystery Sojourner *Midnight Freight* The strategic conclusion of the epic Battle of Monitor Pass, as it is now known, was inconclusive. Sabada Venganza had intended a devastating blow to the United States, not so much for the damage to her military, but for the immense psychological damage to her psychic. It would suggest that she was not invulnerable. On her home soil, she could be hit, and hit hard. In the interim, while she metaphorically curled up into a protective fetal ball, her manifest weaknesses would present to her multitudinous enemies, Sabada Venganza at top of the list. However, the battle did establish that America is quite vulnerable. She has been remiss in effectively countering the threats posed by her enemies, and as she flounders, those enemies grow stronger and more focused. Relative to the world population, America is significantly outnumbered. Like the State of Israel, in order to survive she must continue to be unconquerable, both in appearance and in fact. She must be her own best friend and an enemy to herself not. We shall see...
