Publisher Marketing: The third book in the Life on the Plains series continues to follow the life of Luke Henry. Luke, Barbara, and their new family returned from the big city of Kansas City after spending time there with Helen and her family. They all had a wonderful time in the big city, but were happy to be back home. Everyone had come to the train depot to meet them and welcome them home. Lucas had a surprise for them, but the family had been sworn to secrecy until the all arrived back at the ranch. Tragedy would touch the Henry family and their neighbors also, but as they always did, they joined together to solve their problems, and this time would be no exception. Luke accepted the new responsibilities that he had been handed, and their little family began adding new members that had not been anticipated. Jean Henry shared her story about her past and her family with her son Luke. Until now the only one that knew anything about Jean's family was Lucas, and Jean thought it was time that Luke knew the truth. Luke's family looked forward to the first Thanksgiving and Christmas that they spent in the new house, and were thankful to have a wonderful year on the ranch, wonderful friends and family, and especially each other. Luke and Barbara looked forward to many more wonderful years on the ranch, and surprised everyone with their present to the family on Christmas Day this year.
