This second entry point into the Torture Magic series introduces field agent Sam Grant. Torture magicians are always a danger an Ops agent faces, and Sam Grant is no exception. But on a warm summer night, after another failed search for Jennifer Saunders, he simply looks forward to a few days of rest. Sorry, Sam. On the way home from Palm Springs, he turns into the tiny desert ghost town of Stark, California. When his car and phone stop working, Grant realizes that Stark may appear primitive on the outside, but inside it is an advanced camp for torture magic. Running the TM operation are two teens, Colleen and Larissa, the calm girl and the cowgirl. As Grant tries to escape, he encounters Bam Cartier, a valuable ally and Arizona Highway Patrol Agent. Or so it appears. In reality, Coleen and Larissa aren't just teens. And Bam isn't with the Arizona Highway Patrol. As Sam and Bam attempt to thwart the efforts of the girls in Stark, they both come to realize the real danger is . . . the Power.
