The Caspas Game
Ross Braught
The Caspas Game by Ross Braught is a medieval fantasy about a boy, Cedrin, whose adventures start when a juggler gives him a box containing a board game. Cedrin is pursued by a gang of thieves and bad magicians who also want the game. A will-o-the-wisp lures Cedrin and his traveling companions, a girl and a comic bagpiper, into a forest containing ogres and dragons. Cedrin must unravel the secrets behind the game in order to fulfill the great prophecy about a boy using a caspas game to save the kingdom.
