William Barksdale left his home in New Orleans en route to the airport and his family had no word from him for over six months when daughter, Casey, spotted luggage in an out of the way consignment shop in the small town of Astor MS. The shop manager told her the luggage had been shipped from a Catholic Church in New York. Inside, Casey found her father's formula for decreasing energy use. Casey contacted her father's friend, Brett Sanders, who began investigating at the church in New York, which almost got him killed. After he partially recovered, he enlisted the help of Jordan Simpson, and the investigation would take them all over the US. Before the investigation was complete, Sanders, Simpson, as well as other friends and family would be in constant danger. The oil companies and certain members of the government who have invested in the oil companies want the formula destroyed, along with the person who invented it and anyone close to him.
