As a celebration of the single, the great song, sometimes even the one hit wonder, Fake Diamond now launch their Fake 7 inch Project. A series of singles without necessarily any bigger plan in mind - other than simply putting the music out there, sometimes accompanied by a video, and in true Motown or Factory Records honor, always dressed in the same standardized cover design. Only the B side label of the 7? limited vinyl is dedicated to the bands own picture, logo or whatever else they might desire. The plan is to release new singles every three months - and biannually collect them and add other Fake Diamond rarities, b-sides and remixes onto compilations. First release in the series is by Sleep With All Your Friends who plays wonderful happy, sad and fast indie-rock. The band’s music circles lead singer Morten Bruun and Olivia Rus personal friendship through the years of both good and bad times. Showing a good sense of melody, relevant lyrics and ignorance of current music trends, the band has already played at some of the biggest venues in Denmark, among others Roskilde Festival in 2008 - without even releasing a record. Although the band had immediate attention, the live band never stayed together for more than 6 months at a time, making it hard for the band to become more than a studio project. After 3 years of preparation the 5 guys are now ready to release the first single on June 14 2011.
