MT. SARIN
MT. SARIN play post-metal, inspired by bands such as Pelican and
Russian Circles from Chicago, as well as Danish bands such as Foreshadower and Eigengrau.
The music is instrumental and heavy, with a restless and insistent drive.
The guitar sound cuts through dirty, distorted bass and a massive
drum sound, in a universe drawing influence from both black metal and sludge.
In 2026, the band released their debut album Fortær, which came out on streaming and vinyl LP in April. The album was recorded and mixed by Frederik Uglebjerg (MØL, Galge) at Mono Studio in Aarhus, with mastering by Brad Boatright (Nails, Monolord, Kollapse, YOB, Xibalba, Full of Hell) at Audiosiege in Portland, Oregon.
In 2024, MT. SARIN played their first gig at Boringhell Fest, alongside
acts including Conan (UK) and Late Night Venture. In addition,
the band have played support for Rot Away, Lightchapter and Vægtløs.
MT. SARIN are set to play at the Lasher Fest, Sonic Ritual and
Boringhell Fest festivals in 2026, and have just played as support for Telepathy (UK) at Basement in Copenhagen.
"If you want an album that pays great respect to the legendary formative
years of the Instrumental Post-Metal scene, whilst breaking new ground
of their very own, then MT. SARIN has delivered the goods here".
"Excellent and Highly Recommended".
