THE GREAT CHASE
Geronimo. He was one of the most feared Apaches of all time. And on March 25, 1886, he surrendered to U. S. troops. But the night before he was to be brought in, Geronimo made a daring escape with a band of loyal warriors. Furious, the Army called upon 5,000 troops to help them catch the wily leader, who continued to elude them while torturing and killing white settlers. When courier Russell Norwood joined the hunt, the Army was desperate. It would fall to Russ, the infamous scout Tom Horn and Captain Henry Lawton to lead the treacherous trail into northern Mexico where they would either capture Geronimo, or die trying.
