Glory of Cremona Ruggiero Ricci
Glory of Cremona
Ruggiero Ricci
The American violinist Ruggiero Ricci was considered a child prodigy. In 1928, at the age of ten, he gave his first public performance in San Francisco and only a year later played Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy's Violin Concerto at New York's Carnegie Hall. Ricci became famous especially for his Paganini interpretations.
"The Glory of Cremona" is a journey through music history. Ricci plays fifteen different historical violins by Amati, Stradivari, Guarneri de Gesù and other famous instrument makers. He is accompanied by Leon Pommers on the piano. We recommend the use of "L'Art du Son" LP cleaner to wet wash your vinyl. Even new records of high quality production will benefit from this.
