Pete Candoli
A member of the International Jazz Hall of Fame, West Coast jazz trumpeter Pete Candoli first rose to prominence in the big bands of Woody Herman and Stan Kenton and later became a favorite collaborator of many important pop and jazz performers including Frank Sinatra and Peggy Lee and eventually became one of the leading figures of the West Coast Jazz scene. Presented here is Pete's rare 1977 solo album "From the Top" featuring a quartet consisting of Pete Candoli (trumpet, flugelhorn); Lou Levy (piano); Fred Atwood (bass) and John Dentz (drums). All selections newly remastered.
