Through the Ages
Dominic Heale presents this documentary chronicling the city of Nottingham, home of legendary outlaw Robin Hood. Founded in the sixth century by an Anglo-Saxon known as Snot, Nottingham has been called 'The Queen of the Midlands'. A former Viking stronghold, it went on to become a Norman fortress, and was later the site from which the Crusaders embarked on their mission to the Holy Lands.
Nottingham is now famous for its industrial achievements, its canal network and its renowned cricket pitch at Trent Bridge.
