Ken Burns
Three-part documentary profiling influential American writer Ernest Hemingway co-directed by Ken Burns and Lynn Novick. From his interactions with the 'Lost Generation' in Paris in the 1920s, to his time as a journalist covering the Spanish Civil War, his later years living in the hills of Cuba, and his 1954 Nobel Prize award, Hemingway lived a life packed with adventure and shrouded in rumours. This film attempts to cut through some of the myths that have surrounded him and present a more exact picture of the famed novelist and short story writer.
The episodes are: 'A Writer (1899-1929)', 'The Avatar (1929-1944)' and 'The Blank Page (1944-1961)'.
