Square Enixs immensely popular Japanese role playing title makes its way to UK shores on the Nintendo DS.

The Dragon Quest series has seen its fair share of remakes, appearing on everything from the SNES to the PlayStation 2. Dragon Quest V, originally released on the SNES in Japan, has now made its way to the UK, upgraded for the Nintendo DS. Taking place across three family generations, players must first join their father on his quest to explore the world he grew up in. Hand of the Heavenly Bride tries to keep its understated visuals in this rerelease, instead adding further 3D detail and utilizing the DSs dual screens to expand its look. Players are also free to control proceeding on screen using the DS stylus - ideal for text heavy games such as this.

Dragon Quests typically turn-based fighting remains, now allowing players to recruit monsters and creatures they run into on their journey to fight alongside them. These monsters can each be customised and equipped with their own gear matched to their strengths.
