The plot of Street Fighter (2026) is set in 1993, where former friends and martial artists Ryu (Andrew Koji) and Ken Masters (Noah Centineo) have long since gone their separate ways. But when the mysterious Chun-Li (Callina Liang) seeks them out and recruits them for the next World Warrior Tournament, they are thrown back into a world of brutal fights and deadly rivalries. Behind the international martial arts tournament, however, hides a deadly conspiracy that forces the two former friends to confront both each other and the demons of their past.

The cast features an unusual mix of Hollywood stars, professional wrestlers, and martial arts talents. Jason Momoa plays the electric Blanka, David Dastmalchian takes on the role of the unscrupulous M. Bison, while rapper 50 Cent plays Balrog. WWE stars Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes appear as Akuma and Guile respectively, and the film also features well-known characters such as Dhalsim, Vega, Zangief, and E. Honda.

Inspired by the classic arcade games, especially Street Fighter II, the film recreates the series' iconic fighting techniques, exaggerated characters, and characteristic 90s aesthetic.
