Throughout the long history of rock music, Neil Young has managed to explore different styles based on his own vision. From his early musical beginnings in Canada as a teenager, through his move to California in the mid-1960s and up to today – more than six decades later – there has been a continuous drive to write songs that spring directly from the soul and are performed with pure passion. He is an artist who looks inward and reflects everything he experiences and feels. Together with his band The Chrome Hearts, he continues this expressive journey in Europe, the UK, the USA, and Canada during The Love Earth Tour 2025.

The music on their new live album – "as time explodes" – encapsulates all the qualities they have developed through their interaction with each other and their way of reacting to both the songs and each other. "as time explodes" explores the history behind Young's songs from his entire catalog. It is a journey through time in a modern context. By freeing themselves from the past, they can perform some of the most exciting songs from a long and rich career, while also showing what the present sounds like – they reinterpret the past and present it in the now.

The songs on "as time explodes" are timeless and powerful – and this is even more true in a live concert setting. The album is produced by Lou Adler together with The Volume Dealers (Neil Young and Niko Bolas).
