The Power Station (2025 Deluxe Reissue)
"The Power Station" was a British-American rock and pop supergroup from the 1980s/1990s, originally formed in 1984 and consisting of singer Robert Palmer, former Chic drummer Tony Thompson, and Duran Duran members John Taylor and Andy Taylor.
To mark their 40th anniversary, their self-titled debut album from 1985 is being reissued on vinyl and deluxe CD. The vinyl edition is a 2LP pressed on recycled black vinyl with remastered original album + extended tracklisting with single remixes and Live Aid recordings.
The 4CD set includes a 12-page booklet featuring a brand new interview with John Taylor and Andy Taylor, written by renowned music writer John Earls. Disc 1 contains the remastered album, disc 2 contains single remixes, raw instrumentals from the original studio sessions and recordings from their Live Aid performance. Discs 3 and 4 present a previously unreleased live set from The Spectrum in Philadelphia on August 21, 1985, remixed by Richard Whittaker.
