In 2018 I went public regarding an information breach by the Government of the Northwest Territories (GNWT) on my website infobreach.ca

My goal, as I said in an interview with NNSL Media in February of 2019, was pretty clearly stated:

"What I really want to strongly advocate for is the requirement for mandatory breach reporting in the Northwest Territories"

Amendments to the Access to Information and Protection of Privacy Act requiring mandatory breach reporting finally came into force on July 30, 2021.

Infobreach.ca helped make that happen...but if you go looking for my website now, you'll come up empty.

This is the story that the GNWT wants to hide from the world.

This is the story of infobreach.ca.

Proceeds from the sale of this case study will go to the Canadian Civil Liberties Association (website: ccla.org).
