This is a written dialogue between Bruce Graham and his grandparents, John R and Gran. The letters were written during the war years 1942 and 1943. While John R. kept the home fires burning, Bruce (my Dad) served his country both at home and abroad. The dialogue that follows is taken from handwritten letters kept by John R and passed down to Bruce. When Bruce passed away, they were given to me.

Note the subtitle, "write early and write often." With the ease of email, text messages, and Zoom today, snail mail is quickly becoming the last resort for communication, especially among the younger generations. Handwritten letters were of immense importance to our service men and women during WWII, and it was just as important to those waiting at home for a letter - if even just a few lines.

You'll see what I mean when you read the letters.
