Ming Dynasty Chenghua Emperor's Luohan Doucai Porcelains (Part 1)
Dr Paul Ki
This is a book about the collection of Chenghua Emperor's Doucal Luohan dishes. Ten Luohan dishes are described here. The other eight Luohan dishes will be described in Part 2. Doucai was invented in Xuande Period (1426-1435) and Chenghua Emperor (1465-1487) loved to use Doucai to decorate his porcelains. It is very rare to have a whole set of Chenghua period Luohan dishes which are very valuable.
