Whilst on a trip to Japan, a successful businessman goes for a walk after a meeting. By chance he notices a tree with paper ribbons tied to its branches and discovers it is a wishing tree. He seems disillusioned with his life, despite being wealthy, so he makes a wish to be happy. When he returns to his hotel in the city, a note has been left for him to come to an address, saying that what he seeks can be found there. Intrigued by the note, he leaves the next day and finds the address belongs to a cottage by a beautiful lake with views of Mount Fuji. A mysterious and beautiful young lady named Okimono lives there who promises to help him. He embarks on a journey over the coming days which is both difficult and spiritual. But whether he leaves her home with the happiness he desires, depends on him alone.
