This is a fantasy so like many fantasies it deals with good vs evil and young people learning to find their way in the World. It begins with the conflicts of three people then grows into a bigger, and perhaps more serious story. Gyrth is noble and brave. A born warrior. A born General. Herleve is a young woman raised in the land of Fairrie. Leonore is a powerful sorceress. But she is yet to choose a side. She is confronted by the choice. And what it will mean for her and those around her. A dwarf with bronze horns on his helmet charged out of the fog at Taharga. Taharga lifted him by his axe and threw him into a wall. Jetsun hesitated at a doorway. On the other side there was an image of her from another place and time. Dead. Meat and skin hanging from bones. A dozen swords, floating at chest level raced around the corner at them. Herleve waved her hand and they were thrown against the rocks by a fierce gale. "I can't hold them long. Hurry!"Gyrth stove towards the young girl. A heavy hammer swung around a corner at his head. From the other side a burly fur clad barbarian swung a curved sword at him. The rat jumped on Gyrth's back and as it's feet dug furrows in his shield and it's pink tail circled his waist it stabed him in the chest with a brown bladed dagger; which failed to get through the double layer of mail he wore there. Gyrth took a step back and as he blocked a blow of the curved sword he bit the rat's paw; hard, until he felt bones snap."EEEEEEE" squeaked the rat and jumped away. Gyrth ducked under the hammer and jabbed the point of his sword into the man's foot. As the man cried out he slashed him down.
