The story of a man who can't escape the past, and a woman who won't return to it. Ben, a Vietnam Veteran, relives his past every day. He saw and experienced too much to let it go, and it doesn't help that he also feels guilty about what happened to his best friend. Sarah, whose husband was killed in Vietnam, does not want to think about those days. She raised her daughter as a single mom and has lived a good life. The last thing she wants to do is have those old feelings resurface . A chance meeting at a Vietnam Veterans reunion in Washing, D. C. brings them together, and with the help of Sarah's grand-daughter, Jamie, the healing begins.
