Hiyaken is a perfectly normal teenager in a world seemingly like ours. On any given day, his friend Elliph reveals to him that in that world with meditation and training it is possible to manifest all your creative energy and achieve a unique superpower according to your personality. Unfortunately, Hiyaken will discover that her friend has disappeared and that he lives in a world society where creativity is prohibited because it is considered that divergent ideas can lead to the annihilation of civilization, since creative people are associated with mental disorders and problems, according to the Government authorities. In this world, if you fail to evade as a child the diagnosis of high creative potential, you will be persecuted and possibly executed. Hiyaken escapes to Parabá, a nation where there are Essence Duelists whose leaders are Keito and Arzhur, who oppose this regime by reading and discovering the essence of each opponent through Essence Duels. The protagonists fight against different enemies, who, through hedonistic escapism, want people to stay away from their creative potential. The problem is that there is a prophecy that says that these types of people, the essence duelists, will appear and revolutionize the entire universe, for better or for worse, and the date is approaching. There is a legend that says that one who can read the essence of all other beings could eliminate the limitations of life forever and will become a kind of god. Many are after this power for various purposes. And the entities that maintain the balance of the universe have put a price on the lives of those who try to take it.
