Impetuous, Macarius Gregory leads a quixotic lifestyle as a petroleum engineer. On the border of a mid-life crisis, he meets his best friend, Jeremy Moody, in Hawaii. Later, Macarius heads back to Norway and quits his job on an offshore rig. With Jeremy canceling at the last minute, Macarius heads to the Oktoberfest in Munich alone. He finds a picture postcard of Check Point Charlie stamped with a time and date in his hotel room. Even though he cannot explain the rationale, he takes the train to Berlin two days later. At Jeremy's insistence, Macarius flies to San Miguel de Allende in Mexico on Dia de Los Muertos- the Day of the Dead Celebration and meets up. Unexpectedly, he crosses the path of a woman whose contorted past and long-buried secrets have devastating consequences for Macarius and Jeremy. This novel follows the characters of CIELO PRECIADO thirty-five years later. However, new characters and Macarius drive the plot in Quaesitum.
