Influenced by his church, teachers, and societal changes, a boy from the projects of Baltimore became a confirmed pacifist, activist, songwriter, and, eventually, a counselor. While his songs have never made the pop charts, Gary Blanchard continues to write and perform songs that present and uphold the values of the Woodstock Nation. His impact may be limited, but he never stopped working to keep the hippie dream alive. Journey of Life tells the story of how one person became an advocate for peace and unity and used that one candle to spread light to others. The book includes lyrics and guitar chords for a number of Gary's songs.
