In editing and arranging the writings contained in this book, I used some lifted from religious journals and some that was still in manuscript form. For their courtesy extended to me in allowing me to lift from their papers the writings of my late father, Robertson L. Whiteside, for publication in books, I wish to express my deepest gratitude to the present managements of the: GOSPEL ADVOCATE, GOSPEL GUARDIAN, and FIRM FOUNDATION. To the many who have encouraged me in this effort, thanks. Your comments have been a source of great joy and inspiration. It is my hope that this "Kingdom of Promise and Prophecy" will, along with the "Commentary on Paul's Letter to the Saints at Rome" and "Doctrinal Discourses," fill the present need for sound and careful Bible teaching. To these will be added, as soon as time will permit, a compilation of questions and answers for which I have had many requests.
