Sometimes friends are made in the most unlikely of places. Sometimes friends are made quickly. And sometimes friends are not what they seem. Ruby wants nothing more than to make friends at her new school and no longer be "the new kid". She tries every day to become friends with her classmates but it's not happening as she hoped until the day she meets the girl standing at the rusty old gate at the back of the playground. Soon Ruby and her new friend, Maybelle, are the best of friends, laughing and playing at recess and sitting together in the classroom. The only problem is....no one but Ruby can see her!
