My Skin Is Not A Crime Taylor Victoria Cole

Hi, my name is Alijah and I hope you enjoy this book! My mom wrote it to remind kids of all colors that brown skin is not a crime. I want to live in a world where black and white kids can play on playgrounds together in harmony. I want this book to help you embrace your heritage, and the skin you are in and to know that you matter, and you always will. Things people say and looks that you may receive will hurt, but my mother, and I am sure your mother too, encourages us to stand tall and stand proud to be black. Black is beautiful, black is mighty, black is power!
