My Oil Patch Dad, is a collection of books that have been written by Jess Andrykew and Illustrated by Dean Foster. The children of those individuals that work in the oilfield are not always able to understand what Mom or Dad is doing while they are work, especially when they are gone away for extended periods. This collection of books has been inspired and written with those hard workers in mind for the children that wait patiently at home for them. The Author, Jess Andrykew has experience working in the oilfield and began this collection during his time there. Dean Foster is the illustrator of this collection and has brought life, the vision created by the author with his own personal touch of creativity through the use of animal characters to visually tell the story as it is being read. This first instalment of the collection is called fracking and is a depiction of some of the activities of those that work in this specific role. From waking up in the early morning to falling asleep in a bed far from home, this book takes your little one on a journey with you through the work day.
