Welcome to Poemod! We're glad to have you here! For those unacquainted with the totally made up concept, Poemod is a project undertaken by authors Peter Michalski and Andrew Normington in which they each wrote a poem every day and shared it with the other for seventy five(ish) days. This project was aptly titled "Poem-of-the-day," or "Poemod" for short. (Clever, right?) Poemod seeks to provide an in-depth look into the teenage experience through the medium of poetry. All 150 poems included in this book were written in the midst of the authors' third year in high school, and they embody a variety of concepts present in such a potent yet transitory part of life. Some of these poems are great, others terrible, and a good deal are rather weird, but each one is an authentic and artistic catalogue of some facet of the adolescent experience. For those interested in poetry, the teenage experience, angsty ramblings, or just something fresh to read, Poemod is the book for you, and we hope you enjoy it.
